1st Amendment of The Constitution of the United States of America

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

These 45 Sacred Words have been construed by The Supreme Court of the United States to mean "The Right of Free Expression," including works of art of all types, in the context of "The Right of Free Speech," and they apply to the Internet in the context of the "Freedom of the Press."  Our Constitution can therefore be seen as a living document, which adjusts to the further developments of humanity.  Considering the success of The United States of America in providing a high standard of living for its population, I would argue that this is God's hand at work--God's Divine intention.  The theory is quite simple.  People who do not want to see items they deem offensive can simply turn away from them.  If only a few people have interest, topics which some people want to forbid will disappear of their own accord.  But, to the extent that the free market decides that some people want a specific type of "speech" (expression), that should be allowed to continue.  As with my discussion of "The Glory of God" in Chapter 6, things which most hate will be pushed out of the system, but NOT by the power of the government.   Only a very few exceptions exist, such as the idea that it would be illegal to shout "fire" in a crowded theatre, just to frighten people and cause panic.  It is, of course, alright to shout "fire" if the theatre is, in fact, on fire.
